Embarking on the Path of Healing through Ayurveda
In a world where health is often viewed through the lens of conventional medicine, Ayurveda stands as a holistic and time-honored approach to healing that addresses the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and spirit. Rooted in ancient Indian wisdom, Ayurveda offers a profound understanding of the innate healing capacities within each individual.
The Essence of Ayurvedic Healing:
Ayurveda, often referred to as the “science of life,” places a strong emphasis on preventative and personalized medicine. At its core, Ayurvedic healing seeks to restore and maintain balance within the body’s unique constitution or dosha—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Recognizing that each person is a unique combination of these elemental energies, Ayurveda tailors healing practices to individual needs.
Panchakarma – The Detoxification Journey:
A cornerstone of Ayurvedic healing is the renowned Panchakarma therapy. This comprehensive detoxification process goes beyond mere physical cleansing; it aims to purify and rejuvenate the entire being. Panchakarma involves a series of therapies, including massage, herbal treatments, and cleansing procedures, designed to eliminate toxins, rebalance doshas, and enhance overall vitality.
Personalized Consultations:
Ayurvedic healing begins with an in-depth consultation with a trained practitioner. Vaidya Aruna Patki, with her expertise and compassionate approach, guides individuals on their healing journey. Through personalized assessments, she identifies imbalances, recommends tailored treatments, and empowers individuals with the knowledge to make lifestyle adjustments conducive to well-being.
Mind-Body Connection:
Ayurveda recognizes the intimate connection between mental and physical health. Healing extends beyond the alleviation of symptoms to address the root causes of imbalance. Practices like yoga, meditation, and mindfulness are integral to Ayurvedic healing, fostering emotional well-being and resilience.
Having exhausted western medicine with a chronic sinus issue, it was time to look for a more holistic avenue. In my search for a certified and licensed Ayurveda practitioner, I found Aruna Patki online. She was prompt in response to my email inquiry and very flexible with her schedule to accommodate my daily schedule. Based on the initial interview, she recommended the most suitable program for my body type and needs. During the weeklong detox program, I enjoyed a daily massage, targeted yoga and breathing instructions and a daily bag full of great tasting lunch and breakfast. The interaction with her quickly reveals that she knows what she is doing.
After visiting the Ayurveda Healing Spa, I realized I haven’t experienced anything quite like it before. I have visited many different types of spas through my international travels but nothing like the experience at Ayurveda Healing Spa of Concord NC, Aruna Patki provided. Combining an evaluation, food choices and therapeutic massages, it really focuses on the entire person. I recognized traditional massage techniques, but also some very different ones as well. She has a very distinctive touch, light, yet deep so you can feel muscle movement. With a background in hospitality and teaching classes in spa management.
When chronic or acute health challenges come along you are up against the pharmaceutical company and the so called experts. Your mind doesn't function the same. You feel stuck and disconnected from the world. I felt that way for a while and had no idea what to do until I met Aruna Patki, a profound healer and teacher. Early 2016, I was facing a few health challenges that were keeping me confined in the house. I assumed if I eat right, they will go away.
I first learned about Ayurveda last summer and was very interested in the lifestyle. I read a few books on the subject and decided to dig deeper and look for an Ayurveda practitioner. I was so happy to find Aruna Patki (an Ayurveda physician from India) and her Ayurveda Healing Spa in the Charlotte area. I have been seeing Aruna Patki for about 2 ½ months now. I have (almost effortlessly) lost over 12 pounds. Even better than that, my blood pressure has gone from an average of 145/85 to an average of 105/60. I have also noticed that I feel much happier and I am more relaxed than I used to be. I believe this has everything to do with the panchakarma therapies, herbal supplements and teas, the diet that was given to me to balance my doshas and following a daily routine. I sincerely thank you Aruna Patki!
I would like to say, I was very pleased. As a massage therapist myself. I was in search of rejuvenating that in which I know I give to others. And that I received. Her work was Very detailed which was Exactly what I was in search of, truly a blessing. There do exist therapist who are passionate and really there to help our bodies heal from within. And she is definitely one of them Thank you
Vd.Patki is a highly knowledgeable ayurvedic expert. Her approach to helping her customers is not just prescription but proper education. During my 5-day ayurvedic cleanse program with her, she educated me on how to take care of my own body through ayurvedic principles. The massages were amazing and her interest to help me with my health problems was apparent. Her services are reasonably priced and she is excellent in helping her customers. I highly recommend Vd.Patki for anyone going through health problems.
I had a consultation with Aruna Pakti four weeks ago. I was given herbs to take. She also prepared other oils and mailed these herbs to me, which was nice. It has been 4 weeks, and my energy and mood are better. I went for fatigue problems. My fatigue was probably at a level 7 or 8 when I first consulted her. It is now around a level 2. I have a complicated medical history as well, with an autoimmune disorder. I know very little about Ayurveda, so I cannot be more helpful than this. Aruna Pakti appears very caring and attentive. I am married to a Vd. and come from a medical background myself, so I am integrating the use of Ayurveda into my overall medical care. I am not using this as a stand alone treatment. We are scheduled to have a cooking class virtually, so I am excited about that. I am in the learning process of incorporating ayurveda into my lifestyle.
I would like to start by saying the very presence of Vd. Patki is serene and energizing. When I met Vd. Patki, I was working 12-16 hours a day mostly nights. High work pressure and long hours of exposure to blue light(computer) made me whole body weak and though I was in my 20’s I developed consistent pain in my shoulders and back, and my face became pale and started losing hair. I vividly remember my first experience with Vd. Patki, I was very skeptical ( an Ayurvedic doc in charlotte) - my friend got me a full body cleanse session. I slept like a baby throughout the session and felt so refreshed and rejuvenated. Then after I continued the cleansing sessions (Panchakarma) and induced simple dietary changes into my lifestyle. After a 6 year association with Vd. Patki she is my go to person cos treats you holistically (360 degrees - in health, diet, lifestyle and love).
Vaidya Aruna Patki of Ayurveda Healing Spa is known to me for more than 10 years and is a ayurvedic healing practitioner combined with yoga practices and giving individual attention to each visiting her. Her panchakarma treatments are very effective and she has a good command on massages healing ailments from buried past, her postings and videos are practical ways of maintaining a healthy mind-body and educational towards leading a life full of vitality and spiritual spiritual growth. I recommend her very highly
I went to ayurveda healing spa for panchakarma therepy and for weight loss. Vaidya Aruna Patki explained me the ayurvedic concept in detail and performed panchakarma on me. I didn't loose any weight during the therapy but I understand loosing weight is not just few days work and depends on how I follow the ayurvedic approach in my daily life. But I felt very positive, energetic, clear and focused after the work was done on me. Vd.Aruna Patki is awesome and I would highly recommend her.
Vaidya Aruna Patki of Ayurveda Healing Spa is a gifted healer and educator. Her postings and videos bring Ayurveda alive in a practical way, and style of teaching bring the most difficult concepts within reach of anyone interested in maintaining their health, vitality and fostering spiritual awareness. As Hippocrates said, "Food is our Medicine", and Vd. Patki's recipes are based on ancient healing formulas, with remedies for body and soul. Check out her FB and YouTube - all highly recommended!
Vd. Patki opened her home to a couple of her clients for an ayurvedic cooking class. It was so much fun to see how to prepare some of the delicious dishes she sent home with me during my panchakarma sessions. I love learning about the chemistry of food and how different cooking techniques affect the outcome – either for good or for bad. In the class we walked through Vd. Patki’s garden and gathered herbs and vegetables we would prepare for our meal. While I was familiar with many items, there were a few surprises - bitter melon being one of those surprises. I have seen this vegetable for years at the farmer’s market, but had no idea what it was or how to prepare it. From now on it will be a staple in my diet. Preparing our meal together was helpful because as one person asked a question we all learned. We ate our dinner on a freshly cut banana leaf rather than on a plate. We ate with our fingers as much as possible because it helps to activate the digestive process even before you take the first bite. The whole evening was a joy. I recommend this experience - your health and well-being will thank you for it.
I learned about the Ayurveda Healing Spa though a friend, and contacted Aruna Patika to set up a consultation. Aruna is awesome, and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you Aruna for sharing the ancient healing ways of Ayurveda. Aruna has taught me simple changes in diet and lifestyle that have helped me tremendously with managing tinnitus and getting my blood pressure close to normal. Can’t thank you enough and I’m working on my yoga and will be back for more knowledge. Many Thanks
Aruna is amazing! I have been struggling with a hormone disorder (PCOS) for well over 15 years (but only diagnosed 5 years ago). I did a 5 day cleanse with her, applied what I learned in that time, and have lost over 20lbs in about 6 weeks (and my weight is still going down!). I have so much energy, my head is clear, my symptoms have lessened and I feel powerful. I tried western medicine over the last 5 years and every medicine or diet left me feeling sick, with heartburn or nausea, and general feelings of unwell. The Ayurvedic teachings that Aruna guided me through have truly changed my life and I refuse to go back to my old ways. She truly cares about your wellbeing. She is a blessing and you will not be disappointed!
I have been interested in Ayurvedic healing for many years, but tried everything else instead. I found Vd. Patki while googling one day, and to my surprise, she is only 20 minutes away! I got an appointment same day, today was my third day working and learning about the imbalances of my overall health. As a retired military veteran, I have a strong body, but I could feel I wasn’t functioning at my peak. Ayurveda definition of health is that the mind, body, and organs work in a state of equilibrium. Vd. Patki is a teacher, practitioner, and student of this philosophy. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge of Ayurveda and giving positive energy and support for her clients to reach optimal health. Amazing results
My friend Georgia and I attended a workshop this past summer. The information was presented in an easy to understand format with a handout. We learned so much about eating during the different seasons. Our workshop was culminated with an amazing dinner that hilted so much of what we learned about. I definitely recommend any class offered by Ayurveda Healing Spa.
