Prana is the Sanskrit word for vital sourcce of life energy, similar to like chi or Qi in eastern Medicine. Many herbs has hot potency . stimulate your energy, or improve the flow of prana through your body. Generally, prana needs to be increased in spring after a sleepy winter.
Definition of-Sattvic Healing
SATTVIC Literally means -Satva which means mind. Saatvic means food full of prana and vittality and energy .
Sattvic foods promote awareness and a refreshed mind by nourishing the body without taxing digestion. Sattvic foods do not stimulate desire or nervous energy. They create clarity instead of drowsiness or heaviness.

Generally ayurvedic approach is you eat food as per your body type .
For example —
Vata constitution -Avoid raw,dry ,cold ,packaged dried food.
Pitta constitution -Avoid Hot ,spicy ,fermented ,too salty food.
Kapha constitution -Avoid sweet ,sour,salty ,cold,heavy food .(Cold and refrigerated drinks tighten up airways and create respiratory channel discomforts like congestion,cough,wheezing,asthama etc).

Example -If a person is a kapha constitution and he eats the food mentioned above then he creates all the symptoms .So a kapha constitution person should or must do regular excercises,mild to vigourous asanas ,avoid refrigerated food and cold food ,eat warm ,eat spicy,which means cook the food with herbs and spices which are like ginger,garlic,turmeric,bay leaf .Honey is good to eat plain only .So we need to do all this to balance out kapha or maintain the balance of kapha dosha .
